Who Am I? Living In Our Kingdom Identity

IMG_0296

What does the topic of identity have to do with the subject and title of the course I am currently teaching?  It actually has a very strong connection to the course. When we talk about the health of our soul and exhibiting a healthy Christian life, knowing who God made us is critical to the our thoughts, feelings, and actions. When we fail to understand our true identity in Christ it will effect what we think about ourselves, what we feel from our heart, and the choices we make.

We are continually forgetting who we are in Christ and filling that void by placing our identity in pretty much anything else. This leads us to often ask,“Who am I?” The question is far- reaching, belief- revealing, life- shaping, and identity- forming. How you answer determines your identity and your testimony. Tragically, few people— even few Bible- believing, Jesus- loving Christians— rightly answer that question.

You may not realize it, but being made in the image of God plays a key role in everything you do in life.  To learn more about this, please watch the teaching video below.

Week 4: Slowing Down

Why were you put here on this earth? Were you made to simply exist? Or could it be that you were made to participate in God’s plan for redemption? Your life is valuable in God’s Kingdom and your life has a purpose for what He wants to do. We often miss the significance we can make because we fail to realize how God can use us. This lesson we talked about Slowing Down to Participate in God’s Mission.

As you watch this teaching lesson I want you to ask yourself this simple question: how can I align my life more with what God is doing around me?
